itunes.jpg A new version of iTunes has been released, version 9.1.1. This contains a bunch of important bug fixes. According to Apple the bugs addressed are:

• Addressing several stability issues with VoiceOver

• Addressing a usability issue with VoiceOver and Genius Mixes

• Addressing issues with converting songs to 128 kbps AAC while syncing and

• Addressing other issues that improve stability and performance.
In addition to security fixes, but once again Apple won’t tell you what type of security fixes have been implamented so not to give away any potential vulnerabilities to the “bad guys”

As I write this I am in the process of downloading and installing the new update. I’ll do an update and let you guys know how it went.

UPDATE:
Update size is 102.1 MB for Snow Leopard and 97.4 MB for Tiger. I installed o both OS’s and haven’t found anything glaring in the update, but seeing as most of the fixes are stability related, I don’t think I will, but if it makes iTunes more stable, I am all for it.

itunes Right after a huge OS update, comes this, the newest version of iTunes 9.1 is live and available to download, and you knew it was coming with the iPad being unleashed Saturday. And with it the ability to "organize and sync books you’ve downloaded from iBooks on iPad or added to your iTunes library." The new version also gives users the ability to rename, rearrange, or remove Genius Mixes. It’s fairly large at around 97.3MB. This update is free and available from Software Update. We haven’t heard any major issues with it, other than some tabs have been renamed. The new version renames "Applications" to just "Apps" and the Genius Mixes / iPhone / iPod touch sync pages have been retooled.

Anything else that you found?
